Sisterhood provides so much room for growth and understanding. Opening up brings empathy and compassion from others who have faced similar struggles.

While on a recent women’s retreat in Guatemala, I experienced profound levels of healing from sharing stories with other women. As women living the collective female experience, we found that we are often going through similar struggles, regardless of age, race, or background. It was so enlightening to talk to wise, older women who have walked the same path I am currently walking and made it through to the other side.

Moreover, fostering a celebration of your period involves destigmatizing menstruation and reframing it as a symbol of vitality and life.
